At the end of each session, the GM will give out experience points. Experience is determined by the same stuff as Star Wars 2nd Ed. RnE. What’s different is how to spend the experience points. Once a character gets enough to go up a level, he will then get pips to allocate to skills or dice to allocate if you prefer, and you will either get a increase to an attribute or initiative or a feat added. Also, depending on what level you are, you also get a certain amount of Action Dice.
Action Dice
Each Level indicates how many Action Dice in total you have.
Skills
When increasing skills each level, you may increase template skills 2 pips at a time. Template skills are the skills that come on your template at the time of character creation, except Advanced Skills. Skills not listed on templates are 1pip per level. Specialized Skills are 1pip to increase 2pips. Advanced skills need 2pips to increase 1pip.
Skills= 1pip=1pip
Advanced Skills=2pips=1pip
Specialized skills, 1 pip=2pips
Attribute Increases
When your level allows an Attribute Increase, you may add 1 pip to an attribute of your choice, thereby increasing all your skills under that attribute by one pip.
Initiative Bonus
As indicated by the Progression Chart, you add one to your initiative bonus. This is in addition to your base bonus of Dexterity rounded to the nearest full die.
PKE
Each level indicated, roll that amount of dice to increase the Character's PKE pool.
Paths of Magic
As indicated on the chart, certain levels allow you to choose another path of magic.
Psionic Increase
As indicated on the chart, certain levels allow you to either choose a new additonal power or add 1D to a current power's Die total or divide 1D among your current powers to increase their Die totals.
